These are the questions people ask most before placing their first trade on Gravitas. Each one is answered clearly, so you know what to expect.
New to Gravitas? Before placing your first trade, here's what you need to know about getting started, understanding risk, and choosing the right way to trade.
Yes. Every order placed through Gravitas goes into your own account. You can pick your exchange from the ones available on our platform and connect them instantly. Gravitas never holds your funds. Connect your account through Settings, and your trades will appear in your chosen exchange.
No. Choose a market where you think its price is headed, how much you're willing to risk, and your preferred timeframe. Gravitas selects strike prices that are actively traded and shows you the potential profit or loss before you place an order. If you want more control, you can explore the full option chain using Strategy Builder.
Every trade card shows the maximum loss before you place an order. Most guided strategies have a fixed maximum loss. However, some strategies, such as a short strangle, can lead to losses beyond the premium received. Gravitas marks these strategies with an uncapped-loss warning.
The prices shown are the current prices available in the market. When you buy, you pay the ask price; when you sell, you receive the bid price. The quantity available at each price is limited, and both prices update live as the market changes. Your final execution price may differ if the market moves or available quantities change.
You can trade Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), tokenized Gold (XAUT), and tokenized stocks such as SpaceX (SPCX) and NVIDIA (NVDA).
Easy Options, Hero Zero, and Strategy Builder support all six assets. Expiry Trading currently supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, SpaceX, NVIDIA, and many more. Each Copy Trading strategy shows the asset it trades on its card.
It depends on your trading approach. Easy Options helps you build a trade around your market view, Hero Zero focuses on short-term directional trades, and Expiry Trading lets you explore strategies based on a target price at expiry. Strategy Builder gives you more control over your strategy, while Copy Trading lets you follow available trading strategies.
Choose a product based on your understanding of options and your comfort with risk.
The outcome depends on the strategy and the contract's settlement rules. An option may expire worthless or settle with value. For strategies involving multiple options, the overall result depends on how the different positions perform. Review the trade details and potential outcomes before placing an order.

Bybit and Delta Exchange. You connect the one you use in Settings, and your trades are placed on that account.
You connect through your exchange's own sign-in page and approve the connection there. Gravitas never sees your exchange password, and you don't need to copy any keys. On Bybit you can also paste an API key instead, for example to connect a sub-account. The connection is stored encrypted.
Remove the connection in Settings at any time. On Bybit you can also delete it from your API management page. Once it's removed, Gravitas can no longer place trades on that account.
Easy Options makes options trading simpler by helping you find trades based on your market view, risk, and timeframe.
Easy Options helps you find a suitable options trade based on your preferences. Choose what you think will happen in the market, how much you're willing to risk, and your preferred expiry. Gravitas finds a trade that matches your choices and shows you the key details before you place it.

No. You don't need to search through different strike prices or decide which ones to choose. Easy Options selects them based on the asset you choose, your risk level, expiry, and market view.
You can trade options on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), tokenized gold (XAUT), SpaceX (SPCX), NVIDIA (NVDA), and other US stocks. Choose your preferred asset to explore the available trades.

Hero Zero is designed for short-term options trading. Choose the direction you expect the market to move and how much you're willing to risk. Gravitas builds the trade and shows you the potential outcome before you place it.
Hero Zero is a short-term options trading product built around a specific market move. You choose whether you expect the price to go up or down and how much you're willing to risk. Gravitas builds the trade for you.
It has a lower entry cost and the potential for high returns, with short expiry periods of a day or two. The premium you pay is the maximum amount you can lose on the trade.
0DTE stands for “zero days to expiry.” It means the option expires on the same day you place the trade. Hero Zero can also use next-day expiry when it better matches your market view.
1DTE stands for “one day to expiry.” It means the option expires the day after you place the trade. Hero Zero can use next-day expiry when it suits the trade.
They can. If the expected price movement doesn't happen before expiry, the option may expire worthless, and you could lose the entire premium you paid. Hero Zero shows the expected price movement needed for the trade before you enter it.
No. Hero Zero buys options, so your maximum loss is the premium you pay for the trade. You cannot lose more than that premium on the option position itself.
There is no fixed maximum profit. If the asset moves strongly in your chosen direction, the option's value can increase significantly. The potential profit and loss are shown on each trade before you place it.
If the market doesn't move in your chosen direction before expiry, your option may lose value or expire worthless. In that case, you could lose the entire premium you paid.
Hero Zero involves short-term options trades, which can lose their entire premium within a short period. Before using it, make sure you understand how options work and are comfortable with the possibility of losing the full amount paid for a trade.
Expiry Trading helps you explore options strategies based on where you expect an asset's price to be when the trade expires.
Expiry Trading lets you build a trade around a specific price target for an asset at expiry. Choose your expiry date, set your target price, and Gravitas presents four trade options based on your selection.
You can choose from supported assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), NVIDIA (NVDA), SpaceX (SPCX), and other US stocks, along with the available expiry dates. Select your asset, choose when you want the trade to expire, and set your target price.
All four options are built around your target price, but each has a different potential profit and loss. Compare their possible returns, maximum losses, and payoff details before deciding which trade suits your market view.
Yes, depending on the trade you choose. Some strategies can lead to losses beyond the premium paid. Gravitas shows the maximum loss for each trade and marks strategies with potentially unlimited losses with an uncapped-loss warning.
Your result depends on the strategy you choose and the asset's price at expiry. If the price doesn't reach your target, you may make a loss. Review the potential outcomes shown for your selected trade before placing an order.
You can set your target price and choose from the available expiry dates when building your trade. If your market view changes, adjust your selections and review the updated trade options before placing an order.
Start with your expected price at expiry and how much you're willing to risk. Compare the potential profit, maximum loss, and payoff of each option. Choose based on your understanding of the strategy and its risks, rather than focusing only on the possible return.
Strategy Builder gives you more control over how you build an options trade. Choose a ready-made strategy or create your own, and see how it could perform before placing a trade.
Strategy Builder lets you create your own options strategy. You can start with a ready-made strategy or choose your own strike prices and options positions. As you build, Gravitas updates key details such as potential profit or loss, margin requirements, and break-even points.
An options payoff diagram is a chart that shows how much your strategy could make or lose at different prices when the options expire. You can also change the price and date to explore how your position could perform before expiry.
You can start with ready-made strategies such as spreads, straddles, strangles, iron condors, and butterflies. If you prefer, you can also create your own strategy from scratch.
The Greeks help you understand how your strategy could respond to changes in the asset's price, market volatility, and time remaining until expiry. They also show how each option affects your overall position as you build or adjust your strategy.
Yes. As you build your strategy, you can review its payoff diagram and key details to understand the potential profit or loss under different market conditions. These are estimates, not guarantees of how the trade will perform.
Break-even is the price at which your strategy neither makes a profit nor incurs a loss at expiry, after accounting for the relevant premiums. A strategy may have more than one break-even point, depending on how it is built.
Margin is the amount of funds your exchange may require to open or maintain a position. The amount depends on the strategy, its risk, and the exchange's requirements. Check the displayed margin before placing a trade to understand how much of your available funds may be needed.
Copy Trading lets you follow an options strategy and automatically copy its trades to your connected account. You can review a strategy's past performance, set how much you want to allocate, and unsubscribe whenever you choose.
Copy Trading lets you follow an available options strategy without having to place every trade yourself. Once you select and confirm a strategy, its trades are copied automatically to your connected account. You can review its past performance, set your allocation limit, and unsubscribe whenever you want.

You need a Gravitas account, a connected exchange account, and enough available balance to open at least one position. Trades are sized within the allocation limit you set.
It depends on the strategy. Some strategies can expose you to losses beyond the premium received. Gravitas flags strategies with uncapped losses before you start. Make sure you understand the risks before following a strategy, and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
Yes. Unsubscribe at any time and no new trades are placed for you. A trade that is already open stays until the strategy closes it, and Gravitas shows you when that will be at the latest. You can also close it yourself on your exchange. Just don't trade that same option again before the strategy's exit, or the exit may close it too.
No. A strategy's past performance can help you understand how it has performed, but it doesn't guarantee future results. Market conditions can change, and a strategy that performed well in the past can still lose money.
Review the strategy's past performance, trading approach, and risk information before choosing. Consider how much you're willing to risk and whether you understand the strategy's potential losses. Don't choose a strategy based on returns alone.
