About Bitcoin

Bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency, issued on a fixed schedule that halves every four years toward a hard cap of 21 million. In India it is taxed as a virtual digital asset, so a rupee figure here is a market reference for what a quantity of BTC is worth, not what lands in a bank account after exchange spreads, TDS and tax.

The first and largest cryptocurrency — digital money with a fixed supply of 21 million. The Bitcoin overview has its chart, key statistics and what moves the price; for BTC in USD or USDT, see the converters below.

FAQs

BTC to INR Frequently Asked Questions

How much is 1 BTC in INR?

At the last read (17 Oct 2026, 02:47 IST), 1 BTC was about ₹7,754,177.79. That is Bybit BTCUSDT spot's last price, converted at Tether's dollar price and the ECB's USD/INR reference rate. The calculator at the top uses the same rate.

How do I convert 0.1 BTC to INR?

Multiply 0.1 by the rate: 0.1 × ₹7,754,177.79 = ₹775,417.78. Type 0.1 in the BTC box above for the same figure, or see the BTC to INR table for other amounts.

How do I convert INR back to BTC?

Divide the INR amount by the rate. For example, ₹10,000 ÷ ₹7,754,177.79 ≈ 0.00128963 BTC. Type in the INR box above, or press the swap button, and the calculator works it out to 8 decimal places.

Why can the quoted BTC/INR rate differ from a trade price?

The rate is the last trade on Bybit BTCUSDT spot, converted at reference rates. A real trade fills at the order book's bid or ask, which sit either side of the last price, and adds the platform's fees, India's 1% TDS on crypto transfers, and whatever rate your bank or P2P counterparty gives for rupees. Prices move between reading and trading, too.

Does an INR value include exchange-rate changes?

Yes. The rupee value is the dollar value times USD/INR, so it changes when BTC moves and when the rupee moves against the dollar. This page uses the ECB's reference rate for 16 Oct 2026, which is set once each business day and does not move during the day. The history chart converts each day at that day's own rate.

Can I use this calculator to exchange BTC on Gravitas?

No. The calculator only estimates values; it does not buy, sell or swap anything, and Gravitas does not exchange crypto or hold funds. What Gravitas offers is options on BTC, placed on your own connected exchange account. To exchange BTC for INR, use an exchange that supports that pair.
