What Micron does
Micron Technology makes DRAM, NAND flash and high-bandwidth memory. Its chips sit in data-centre servers and AI systems, PCs, phones, cars and industrial equipment. It is one of only three companies that make DRAM at scale.
Micron is the largest US maker of memory chips — DRAM, NAND and HBM. Below are MU's chart, market data, price history and drivers.

Micron Technology makes DRAM, NAND flash and high-bandwidth memory. Its chips sit in data-centre servers and AI systems, PCs, phones, cars and industrial equipment. It is one of only three companies that make DRAM at scale.
Micron was founded in Boise, Idaho in 1978, where it is still headquartered. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under MU.
AI accelerators need large amounts of high-bandwidth memory, and Micron's share of that market has become a key part of its growth story. Demand from AI servers also lifts prices for ordinary server DRAM.
Memory factories cost tens of billions of dollars and take years to build. Micron is expanding production in the US with government support, and the pace of that spending, across the industry, decides how much supply arrives and when.
Memory prices follow a boom-and-bust cycle as producers add and cut capacity. Micron's quarterly results and guidance, including its comments on pricing, inventory and bit growth, are read as signals for the whole sector.
Micron's shares are common stock on Nasdaq. On Bybit, MU is a USDT-settled perpetual futures contract (MUUSDT) whose price follows Micron's shares. It is a derivative: holding it, or an option on it, gives no share, vote or dividend, and its price can differ from the exchange's share price, especially when the US market is closed.
Nasdaq trades in the New York day; the perpetual never stops. Overnight and at weekends the contract can move away from the last share price, and funding every eight hours pulls it back toward its index.
Memory is highly cyclical, so earnings can swing from strong profits to losses within a couple of years. Trade restrictions, customer concentration in AI and heavy capital spending add risk. The perpetual adds leverage, funding and exchange risks.
Gravitas does not sell Micron shares. It lets you trade options on Bybit's MU contract, which tracks the share price, from your own exchange account — with the payoff and the most you can lose shown before you trade.

Memory and storage chips: DRAM, NAND flash and high-bandwidth memory, used in data centres, AI servers, PCs, phones and cars.
Micron sells memory at prices set by industry supply and demand. When producers over-build, prices and profits fall; when supply is short, they rise fast. Investors try to price the next turn, so the stock often moves ahead of results.
