About SpaceX and Its Shares
What SpaceX does
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. designs, builds and launches rockets and spacecraft. Its reusable Falcon 9 carries most of the world's satellites to orbit, Dragon flies crew and cargo to the International Space Station, and Starship is its fully reusable heavy launcher under development. Starlink, its satellite internet service, is its largest consumer business.
Founding and listing
Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2002. It stayed private for more than two decades, valued through funding rounds, until its initial public offering: its Class A shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas on 12 June 2026 under SPCX, and the offering closed on 15 June 2026.
How it works
What Drives SpaceX Share Price?
Launch and Starlink
Two engines drive the business: launch, where reusable boosters lower the cost of each flight, and Starlink, which turns that launch capacity into recurring subscription revenue. Results from both, and the progress of Starship, are what analysts watch.
Earnings, contracts and news
As a newly listed company, SpaceX's share price reacts to its first quarterly reports, guidance, government and defence contracts, launch outcomes and regulatory decisions. Index inclusion, the end of post-IPO lock-up periods and news about Elon Musk can also move it.
Valuation
SpaceX listed at one of the largest valuations of any IPO, so the share price carries high expectations for Starlink's growth and Starship's success. Shares priced on long-term expectations tend to move sharply when those expectations shift.
Shares, tokens and derivatives
How Are Referenced Shares Different From Tokens or Derivatives?
The share, and what Bybit lists
A SpaceX share is Class A common stock traded on Nasdaq, with the rights its charter gives shareholders. On Bybit, SPCX is a USDT-settled perpetual futures contract (SPCXUSDT) whose price follows SpaceX's shares. It is a derivative: holding it, or an option on it, gives no share, vote or dividend, and its price can differ from the exchange's share price, especially when the US market is closed.
Why the prices can differ
The perpetual trades 24/7, so outside Nasdaq hours it moves on news and positioning while the share price stays at its last close. A funding payment between long and short holders every eight hours keeps the contract close to its index, but gaps open around the US open and on weekends.
Risks specific to SPCX exposure
Recently listed shares can be volatile as the market finds a price, and lock-up expiries can add supply. The perpetual adds its own risks: liquidation on leverage, funding costs, and the exchange's own rules and solvency.
On Gravitas
How to Explore SpaceX on Gravitas
Gravitas does not sell SpaceX shares or give you ownership of the company. It lets you trade options on Bybit's SPCX contract, which tracks the share price, from your own exchange account, with the payoff and the most you can lose shown first.
Gravitas connects to your exchange account through the exchange's own sign-in and never holds your funds. Trades settle in USDT on that account. Options can expire worthless; the most you can lose is shown before every trade.

SPCX is the Nasdaq ticker for SpaceX's Class A common stock, which began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas on 12 June 2026. On Bybit, SPCX is also the name of a USDT perpetual contract that tracks those shares; that contract is what this page's price comes from.
When did SpaceX go public?
SpaceX's IPO shares began trading on 12 June 2026, and the company announced the offering's closing, including the underwriters' full option for additional shares, on 15 June 2026.
What moves SpaceX share price?
Launch results and contracts, Starlink's subscriber and revenue growth, Starship's progress, quarterly earnings and guidance, the wider stock market's mood, and news about Elon Musk. As a recent IPO it can also move on lock-up expiries and index decisions.
Does buying a tokenized SpaceX exposure give share ownership?
No. A tokenised or derivative exposure, like Bybit's SPCX perpetual or an option on it, tracks the price but gives no share, vote, dividend or claim on SpaceX. Only buying SPCX shares through a broker makes you a shareholder.
Where does the SpaceX price on this page come from?
From Bybit's SPCXUSDT perpetual: the last traded price of a contract that tracks SpaceX's shares, streamed live in your browser. It is not the Nasdaq share price, and can differ from it, most of all while the US market is closed.
Can I trade SpaceX on Gravitas?
Gravitas does not sell SpaceX shares. It lets you trade options on Bybit's SPCX contract from your own connected exchange account, with the most you can lose shown before you trade. Those options give no ownership of SpaceX.
