About SK Hynix and Its Shares
What SK hynix does
SK hynix makes memory chips: DRAM for servers, PCs and phones, NAND flash for storage, and high-bandwidth memory (HBM), stacks of DRAM placed beside AI accelerators. It is one of the world's three large DRAM makers, alongside Samsung and Micron.
History and listings
The company traces back to Hyundai Electronics, founded in 1983, and has been part of South Korea's SK Group since 2012. Its shares are listed on the Korea Exchange. On Nasdaq, SK hynix securities began trading when-issued on 10 July 2026 and regular-way under SKHY from 13 July 2026.
How it works
What Drives SK Hynix Share Price?
HBM and AI demand
SK hynix was early to volume production of HBM, which AI accelerators need in large amounts. That turned part of a cyclical commodity business into a key supplier for the AI build-out, and orders and pricing for HBM are now among the biggest drivers of its earnings.
The memory cycle
Conventional DRAM and NAND prices still rise and fall with industry supply and demand. When the big three add capacity faster than demand, prices drop; when they cut output or demand jumps, prices recover.
Earnings and currency
SK hynix reports in Korean won. Its results, guidance, capital spending and the won's value against the dollar all feed into how its shares trade in Seoul and New York.
Shares, tokens and derivatives
How Are Referenced Shares Different From Tokens or Derivatives?
The listings, and what Bybit lists
SK hynix's primary listing is on the Korea Exchange, and its Nasdaq-listed securities trade as SKHY. Nasdaq's listing notice does not describe the instrument type, so check SK hynix's investor documents for what one SKHY unit represents. On Bybit, SKHY is a USDT-settled perpetual futures contract (SKHYUSDT) whose price follows SK hynix's shares. It is a derivative: holding it, or an option on it, gives no share, vote or dividend, and its price can differ from the exchange's share price, especially when the US market is closed.
Why the prices can differ
Korean trading runs 9 am to 3:30 pm Seoul time (5:30 am to noon IST), Nasdaq trading in the New York day, and the perpetual around the clock. Between sessions the contract moves on news while the listed prices wait; funding every eight hours keeps it near its index.
Risks specific to SKHY exposure
Memory pricing cycles, dependence on a few large AI customers, currency moves and geopolitical risk around Korean and Chinese manufacturing all weigh on the shares. The perpetual adds leverage, funding and exchange risks.
On Gravitas
How to Explore SK Hynix on Gravitas
Gravitas does not sell SK hynix shares. It lets you trade options on Bybit's SKHY contract, which tracks the share price, from your own exchange account — with the payoff and the most you can lose shown first.
Gravitas connects to your exchange account through the exchange's own sign-in and never holds your funds. Trades settle in USDT on that account. Options can expire worthless; the most you can lose is shown before every trade.

DRAM, NAND flash and high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Its chips go into servers, AI accelerators, PCs, phones and storage.
Where is SKHY listed and what instrument does it represent?
SK hynix's primary listing is on the Korea Exchange. On Nasdaq, its securities trade under SKHY, regular-way since 13 July 2026 per Nasdaq's notice ETA2026-40; that notice does not state whether they are depositary shares or ordinary shares. On Bybit, SKHY names a USDT perpetual contract that tracks the shares — a derivative, and the source of this page's price.
How does HBM demand affect SK Hynix?
HBM is sold at higher prices and margins than ordinary DRAM, and AI accelerators need a lot of it. Strong AI orders raise SK hynix's earnings and outlook; signs of slowing AI spending, or competitors catching up in HBM, weigh on it.
Can I view SKHY priced in rupees?
Yes. This page shows SKHY in rupees by default, from Bybit's SKHY perpetual price converted at Tether's dollar price and the ECB's USD/INR rate. The SKHY to INR converter handles any quantity.
Where does the SK Hynix price on this page come from?
From Bybit's SKHYUSDT perpetual: the last price of a contract that tracks SK hynix's shares, streamed live. It is not a Nasdaq or Korea Exchange quote.
Can I trade SK Hynix on Gravitas?
Gravitas does not sell SK hynix shares. It lets you trade options on Bybit's SKHY contract from your own connected exchange account, with the most you can lose shown first, and no ownership of the company.
